Robert Is Here, Inc. :: Our Store

Our Store

As you walk along the parking lot leading up to the fruit stand you can hear the music. It’s after 2p.m. on a Saturday afternoon and as you step through the entrance of the fruit stand, you notice a beautiful display of fresh picked sunflowers. You look up and take it all in. You notice the hustle and bustle of people all around you, children and adults alike, waiting eagerly for their fresh fruit milkshakes. The aroma of so many delicious fruits swirls around you and their colors flirt with your senses.

To the right, you notice a family on the wooden swing set enjoying a fresh cold coconut and some fresh squeezed orange juice.  To the left, you see a crowd of people discussing which fruits they chose for their milkshakes. Ahead of you, you see… what is that? An Ugli Fruit? You never knew there was such a thing. Soon you catch the eye of Robert, himself. He sees the question on your face and he’s eager to show you six more fruits you have never seen before. He wants to re-introduce you to the fruits you thought you already knew. He jokingly informs you that you will not be allowed to leave the store unless you buy a mango and let him cut it for you. He assures you that the only time you will find a better mango is if you return to our store in the summertime when we have the mangoes from our own groves. He’s right; you’ve never tasted a mango like this before!

This is a typical day in the life of a Robert Is Here® customer. Even as a local, you will enjoy the live music we have on weekends from 2 to 6 p.m. You will have a great time chatting with Robert, or with any of his family members that you are likely to encounter during your visit. People from all over the world travel here to enjoy a fresh fruit milkshake or pick up something new that they have never seen before. Some people choose to select items to be shipped to their homes, while others pick out goodies to have sent to friends and family around the country. Whether you come from near or far, you don’t have to look very hard to find some fun here.

Step out back to see our animal collection. During the first part of the year, you might just see a baby goat being born. Or maybe you find yourself here around feeding time and get a chance to feed the emus, goats, donkeys and geese. Several school groups schedule field trips to watch the goats climb atop Goat Mountain, a makeshift play-space made of 40,000 pounds of Florida’s natural coral rock. They come to learn about Robert’s story of success and about how to grow fruits and vegetables in South Florida’s climate. There is something here for everyone. We invite you to Come taste the unusual!
